Class Four - The Cosmic Map
Every traveler who ventures into unfamiliar terrain eventually stops to ask one simple question: where am I? Having established the foundations of mediumship, learned the tools of discernment and spiritual protection, and opened the door to the Astral through Ayahuasca, we arrive at the point where experience alone is no longer enough. We need a map and the guidance of a seasoned traveler who can point us in the right direction.
The world of spirit is not a single, uniform place. It is a vast and layered landscape, inhabited by many forms of consciousness, each with its own nature, purpose, and vibration. Some are close to the earth and to nature, some are still bound by their own pain and attachments, and some have walked far ahead of us and return to guide and serve. When we open ourselves to spirit, we do not open ourselves to one presence but to this entire landscape, and without a map, walking into the unknown can be confusing and prevent us from navigating with confidence and clarity.
This is where so many seekers lose their way. A medium without a map may mistake a confused or suffering spirit for a teacher, give authority to a voice that has not earned it, or fear a presence that came only to help. Without knowing the terrain, we cannot know whom to trust, whom to serve, whom to set boundaries with, or how far a message can carry us. Discernment, the quality we have returned to again and again in this series, depends on knowing where we are.
A map also changes how we understand ourselves. When we come to see that the world of spirit is ordered by affinity, that we are drawn toward what we resonate with, in thought, in feeling, and in action, we begin to recognize that the terrain we encounter is also a reflection of our inner state. To understand the map is to understand the path of our own evolution: where we have been, where we are, and where we are being called.
In this class, I will share a map of the astral that I have developed over many years of study and practice, and that will serve as the foundational map for the rest of The Medium's Path. We will travel it as a whole, from the realms closest to the earth to the Source of all creation, so that the experiences you have in practice, in dreams, and in ceremony can begin to find their place.
But a map is not the territory.
This map draws on the language of many traditions, not to decide which one is "right," but because each has described a part of the terrain with great care. A map does not replace direct experience, and it is not the final destination. It is a tool that helps us walk with clarity, humility, and confidence so that when the path opens before us, we recognize where we are and choose our next step wisely.
As with every class in The Medium's Path, this session includes recommended readings, movies, and additional materials for continued study. Above all, this class is an invitation to become a cartographer of your own journey, and to remember that the most important coordinates on any map are always the ones we carry within.
Registration: Each class in The Medium's Path stands complete on its own and is registered one class at a time. I recommend studying the series sequentially, as the materials build upon one another.
