Attaining Entitlement

Sometimes we forget. We forget how deeply we are entitled.
We are entitled to be ourselves fully, unapologetically.
To walk our own path, pave our own roads. Sometimes, we forget; we listen to the loud voice we call the other. In fear of judgment, in fear of losing our foothold and our sense of belonging. We long to connect, to be a part of something greater. But our greatness lies in the celebration of the diversity of life, of being different from one another.

We fear that our actions and our presence would be too much or too little.
We fear overshadowing a peer, a friend, a lover. We fear voicing our own thoughts and expressing our own voice. But being who we are, as we are, is our birthright.

In fact, there's nothing greater than attaining entitlement. Attaining the state of full acceptance and the appreciation of our vices and virtues. True entitlement happens within one's own space. It does not involve another. You can only be entitled to be yourself. To be utterly and fully your – self.

Entitlement can't be over someone. Entitlement isn't for something, either.
Entitlement just is. We are entitled. We are entitled to be and nothing more. There isn't a blade of grass or a single star that isn't entitled to be just there, as they are. To shine as brightly and as fully as they possibly can. Everything you touch, anything you experience or feel, has been brought into existence for that purpose alone.

I am - fully entitled. Entitled to be me. To sing my song and dance my dance. And as long as I am found within my own space, marveling at my own being, I will always see you. Marvel at your greatness and be grateful that you are you. Because if you were not you, I wouldn't be able to be me.

Sometimes we forget. We forget how deeply we are entitled.
We are entitled to be ourselves fully, unapologetically.
It is by our sense of entitlement that the world gets to evolve.
Love is the greatest expression of the gratitude to be fully seen in our right to marvel at who we are.
